We are currently seeking a Lube Technician to be an integral part of our Team.
The Lube Technician is responsible for the service and maintenance of the Fleets Paving/Construction Equipment
Responsible for retrieving quality oil samples during the PM service. Ability to list visual or notable deficiencies on the equipment is imperative. Technician is also responsible for insuring that the equipment is properly maintained
Knowledge of Heavy Equipment PM schedules is a must. Must have a B class CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
Responsibilities of the position:
Performs Pre-Service inspections, prior to performing service to insure machine oil levels are adequate and components on the machine are functioning properly upon arrival to job site.
Performs preventive maintenance services as outlined in the manufacturer’s maintenance manual using the proper tooling and techniques for each specific machine of vehicle.
Retrieve quality oil samples from the fluid compartments of the machine’s or vehicle’s being serviced.
Document oil samples listing the Equipment number with current hours meter or mileage, correct hours or miles on the compartment oil, list the correct oil product and date of sample.
Conducts routine safety checks on equipment and vehicles when performing scheduled services.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing and servicing equipment and vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair/service times.
Must have at least two (2) years’ experience as a Lube Tech, and at least five (4) years diesel engine experience
Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions
Knowledge of Heavy Equipment PM schedules is a must.
Provide personal tools
Proficiency in mechanics, vehicle and equipment repair.
Ability to read and comprehend maintenance and technical information
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Must have a B class CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
Must provide acceptable driving history
Must be a team player
Must maintain good attendance record
Working conditions are normal for a shop and field environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials over 50 pounds daily. Lifting, bending, kneeling, sitting, use of tools and /or other equipment. This position also includes exposure to noise, dust, grease, vibrations and all types of weather and temperature conditions; work and or walk various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain.
