Truck Technician- Miami, FL (Req. 12-17)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Tune up all series of DDC Engines and adjust Allison Transmissions and Chassis
Troubleshoot DDEC, and/or ATEC, WTEC and chassis electrical systems
Complete in-frame and major overhauls
Complete jobs assigned with minimum amount of supervision
Qualify used parts for reuse
Qualify new parts for the job being performed

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years experience maintaining and repairing heavy duty trucks
- Heavy Duty Truck/Automotive ASE Certification preferred
- 2 year technical school graduate preferred
- Engine experience on Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
